Transformation Collection

Transformation Collection
I named this collection after a recent project of mine. I took apart a pouch I made in 2020 and decided to add more color. My Natural dye palette and plant knowledge has grown so much in the past few years, and I really enjoy taking apart abandoned projects or things I’ve made that I don’t use. The pouch in the picture is one of my FREE patterns. It’s called the Fabric Scrap Pouch and it’s great for sunglasses, colored pencils or pens, crochet hooks, and more.

Soft Cochineal
Naturally dyed embroidery thread made by hand in Sonoma County, California. Honey Folk thread is hand-dyed from a combination of ethically sourced and sustainably wild harvested botanical materials such as flowers, herbs, weeds, fallen leaves, pruned branches, berries & such. This thread is a lovely choice for visible mending (like sashiko), hand-embroidery, cross stitch, tassels, pom-pons, gift wrapping, & more! Uneven coloring & gentle fading is just one of the magickal characteristics of botanical dyes.
100% Cotton
12 yards /skein
Embroidery thread thickness equivalent to 3 strands DMC #25
It's best to store naturally dyed thread out of constant direct sunlight as fading may occur.
Care for garments or linens after mending: When needed hand or machine wash gently in cold water. Hang to dry out of direct sunlight. Use a PH neutral soap. Excess dye residue may occur.
